Don't give up. I've heard several patients recently share their frustration with their failing at being perfect with their diet or exercise and so they just gave up all together. You can reach your goals, just keep going! A little mess up doesn't ruin the whole effort. So if you lose 20 lbs. instead of 25 lbs. by the time you hit your target date...SO WHAT? You made it this far and you can just take a little more time! PERSEVERE!
Your body isn't dumb. God made your body amazingly & it knows what to do. It rarely makes mistakes. A fever isn't a dysfunction; it's there to kill pathogens. Swelling isn't an accident; it's there to help heal damaged tissue. Listen to what your body is trying to tell you.
Put someone else's needs before yours and watch your needs get met.
Don't forget to take time to smell the roses! This old adage is so true. Life is speeding by & you'll miss a lot if you don't look up every now and then.
Do you brush your teeth BECAUSE you have cavities, or in order to prevent them? In the same way, half of my patients each day are not there because of an injury or a "crick", but they're there to prevent normal life wear & tear from turning into "I can't move!" An adjustment of prevention now is worth a surgery of salvaging what's damaged, later.
